Quality Comments
Kia ora
Today we have been writing quality comments on class blogs around our school. First we start with a compliment, following by making a connection to the blog post and finally asking a question. (This is to start a conversation.).
Each learner has taken a screenshot of their comment and saved this on a slide. This learning is all about the write way to leave comments online and is part of our cybersmart learning.
Look at Emjae’s positive comments she has written today..

You can watch this video that explains how to leave a comment on a blog.

Thinking about others? Are you?
We have been exploring the expected and unexpected behaviours we see in class and how this makes us feel. We looked at the behaviour- what they are, then what we see and then how it makes us feel.
Thinking about how how behaviour makes others feel, will this help us make good choices around how we behave in class?

When we post on our blogs…
We are strting to write blog posts. We have brainstormed what we think we need to consider when posting our learning. Have we missed anything?
Kawa of care
Room 1 have been talking about our responsibility to care for our chromebooks. This slide has some of our learning activities and our brainstorm about what we need to do to care for the chromebooks. Have a look and see what we have said. let us know if we have missed anything. We are making animations that show – what not to do with your chromebook. We’ll post the links to these when they are finished.
It’s Swimming time!
Kia Ora
Room 1 are enjoying our swimming sessions. These are all about water safety and confidence with some skill sessions. We are all in the pool together and have lots of fun practising essential skills like floating. Togs and towels need to come to school everyday to ensure we make the most of the warmer weather. Look how well Stevie is floating! What is your favourite activity in a pool?
